American Red Cross Babysitting Training

Due to the generous support of the Hormel Foundation, the YMCA at ACRC is offering scholarships to those who qualify. These grant-funded scholarships are available to cover a certain percentage of the program applied for, provided funds are still available. Apply here.


The Babysitting course, offered through the American Red Cross, provides training in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and responding properly to ill or injured children and infants.  

To achieve certification, participants MUST be 11 years or older, attend BOTH classes in a session, score 80% or better on the written exam, and demonstrate all knowledge and skill objectives. 

Cost $100, all class times are 10:00am – 1:45pm. Must attend both days in order to get certification.
