Over the week your swimmer, no matter their level, will improve their freestyle and backstroke technique, racing and training skills!
Stroke Camp: Breaststroke and Butterfly: (June 12 – 16)

Our second camp of the summer will focus on more advanced techniques. No matter your swimmer’s ability, this week’s camp will help strengthen their technique, timing, and lead to faster and more efficient races.

- 4:45-6:00 Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards in any stroke.
Cost Per Participant: YMCA Members: $45 Community Members: $55
The momentum generated from explosive starts and turns are the fastest your swimmers are moving during the race! That’s why during this camp we will help your swimmers work to improve their start, underwater dolphin kick, and breakouts. We will also spend time working on flip turns, and relay starts. We’re going to work with your swimmer on taking this crucial part of every race (and practice) to the next level.
Swim Team Camp: IM and Endurance: (August 7 – 11)
- 4:45-6:00 Swimmers must be able to swim 75 or more yards without stopping or assistance. Due to the advanced concepts covered in this camp, this camp is exclusively for swimmers who regularly swim 50’s and more.
Cost Per Participant: YMCA Members: $45, Community Members: $55
Swimming fast requires good technique, efficiency, power, and hard-working athletes. Developing more endurance and power will help your swimmer be more efficient and stronger in the water. To strengthen swimming specific movements, we will work with your swimmers on improving the power in their strokes, using resistance training and dynamic warm-ups to their advantage.
– Extra items needed: a T-shirt that can get wet, gym/ workout clothes, tennis shoes.
Splash and Dash: What level is right for you? (August 26: 9am-10am)
Cost: FREE
Interested in joining the swim team? Come in to see which level your swimmer should sign up for the upcoming season. With the help of our head coach, we will be able to test your swimmer’s ability and help you register for the team that day!
This is an open house, however, please register so we know how many to expect.
