The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Unified Partners compete alongside Special Olympics athletes. Training together and playing together becomes a quick path to friendship and understanding.
Athletes intereseted in joining unified special olympic Swim Team will need to have this form filed out before they can start practice. Athlete Statement of Eligibility
Participants MUST be 8 years of age or older and have the proper paperwork fill out (above) to participate.
