Promoting Healthy Development and School Readiness

The Y is an experienced community provider of quality early care and education programs. More than 40% of Ys provide early childhood programs for children five years old and younger in over 1,400 early learning centers across the U.S. By providing families with quality, year-round care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, the Y supports working families and helps prepare young children for kindergarten. The Y believes that building strong foundations during the early years helps prepare children for academic and lifelong success.

Investment in early childhood education results in a positive rate of return—research indicates that for each dollar spent on quality early learning, there is a long-term savings of $13 based on increased tax revenue, reduced crime, education savings and welfare savings.

Early Childhood Programs

The YMCA’s Toddler Social Hour is a fun and interactive program designed for children ages 2-3. This program provides a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers to socialize, play, and learn with their peers. Each session is led by experienced and caring staff who will engage your child in a variety of activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. From music and movement to art and sensory play, your toddler will have a blast while developing important skills and making new friends. Join us for Toddler Social Hour and give your child the opportunity to grow and thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Children do not need to be potty trained, however, a guardian must be available via phone call to come and change their child if necessary.

Class capped at 10 students.

Daily routine includes free play through structured and unstructured activities which include art and science projects, large and small muscle movements, stories and music, group time, individual project work and character development activities. Additionally, we strive to provide an intellectual and social experience, while also focusing on a student’s overall health and well-being. Each student enrolled in our preschool, receives access to our brand-new facility including our gym and Indoor Playground.
