Adaptive Swim Lessons

Adaptive Swim Lessons

Adaptive swim lessons provide individualized instruction for swimmers with disabilities and other unique learning needs. Each lesson is tailored to the swimmer's disabilities and other unique learning needs. Each lesson is tailored to the simmer's abilities and goals, helping build confidence, develop water safety skills and foster a lifelong love of swimming.

Private & Semi-Private Lessons

Our Adaptive Swim Program is designed for individuals who benefit from one-on-one instruction due to cognitive, physical, sensory, behavioral or developmental disabilities. Every swimmer learns differently and our instructors adapt each lesson to meet the swimmer’s unique needs, abilities and comfort level.

Lessons focus on water safety, confidence and swimming skills while creating a positive, supportive and encouraging environment for every participant.

Eligibility

Adaptive lessons are intended for swimmers whose individual needs make traditional group lessons difficult or who would benefit from more personalized instruction.

Program scholarships are available with a recommendation from one of our instructors. For more information about program scholarship eligibility, please contact Samantha at lifeguard@ymcaatacrc.org.
