IRONMAN Triathlon: A July Event to Challenge Your Limits 🏊️🏃️

Are you an endurance athlete looking for your next thrilling challenge? The IRONMAN Triathlon is set to take place this May, offering a grueling but rewarding test of strength, determination, and willpower.

The IRONMAN Triathlon consists of:
A 2.4-mile swim in open water
A 112-mile bicycle ride
A 26.2-mile marathon run

Throughout the month of July, participants will have the opportunity to complete each leg of the triathlon at their own pace. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a novice looking for a new challenge, this event is a great way to stay active, challenge yourself, and support a worthy cause. All fees collected from the Ironman Triathlon will go directly to our Financial Assistance Program, which helps provide access to YMCA programs and services for those in need. Sign up today and let’s make a difference together! Log your distance at the Fit Floor desk and you can track what you do outside. Swimming Miles are different than traditional miles, hence why we are establishing ahead of time, how many laps you will need to swim in order to complete the Ironman Triathlon. In a yard pool, you will need to swim 1650 yards to complete a swimming mile. Since we are doing an Ironman, you will need to swim 82 laps (or 164 lengths) of the YMCA at ACRC pool to successfully swim 2.4 miles.

Age: 14+
YMCA at ACRC Members: $25
Community Members: $60
(includes access to the facility during July) If you decide to join the Y during May, the joiners fee will be waived.
