Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI)

What is Adaptive Fitness Equipment? Adaptive Equipment includes a range of machines, devices and tools that are designed to accommodate users of all ability levels improve and maintain their physical health. Below are a few pieces of equipment that the YMCA at ACRC currently has available.

Cybex Cable Machine

Multi-function exerciser offering a very wide variety of exercises for all non-disabled and disabled users encompassing Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) standards.

NuStep T6 Pro Recumbent Bike

Easy to access and easy to use, the T6PRO makes total-body exercise possible for a wide range of users.

  • Low step-through design
  • User-controlled step length; smooth-stepping motion
  • Low-inertia start up; 15 resistance levels
  • Locking feature for handles and pedals
  • Flex-Foot system with option for dorsi/plantar flexion

Upper Body Ergometer

Upper Body Ergometer are used for both strength and cardio. While these machines are primarily used for rehabilitation, but they are also great for those who are looking to build their upper body. They are a great way to build cardiovascular strength if you have any lower-body injuries and are unable to use your legs for your cardio workouts.
