WE ARE BACK!
Governor Walz announced today that fitness centers can reopen as of Saturday, December 19th. While this is great news for our fitness fanatics, it comes with some restrictions. Please see the list below for additional guidance mandated by the Governor.
- 25% maximum capacity with no more than 100 people
- A mask must be worn at all times while in the building, even while exercising
- 12 feet must be maintained while exercising: 6ft all other times
- Pools, showers, and whirlpools will be closed until further notice
- Group Exercise, Youth Programming, Child Watch, and Gymnasiums will remain paused until January 4th, 2021.
Before coming in, please make sure your membership is in active status, (if you need to reinstate your membership, you can do so here*) and that you have a reservation in Motion Vibe. In addition, we are asking that each member sign our updated member code of conduct before returning.
We understand these restrictions may be frustrating, but we need to continue to do our part and follow the guidance designed to keep our staff, members, and community safe!
We will continue to provide fitness classes On Demand through our new fitness app Motion Vibe. Continue to check in as your favorite instructors are adding new classes daily!
We are excited to have the opportunity to serve you again. If you have any questions related to your membership status or Motion Vibe, please contact us at info@ymcaatacrc.org or call 507-433–1804 x100 leave a message and we will return your call as quickly as possible.
Thank you for continuing to support us. We are grateful for your patience as we weather this storm together. We wish you a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season!
*Your dues will be prorated and drawn 12/19.
November 19, 2020
Governor Walz has enacted an Executive Order that once again requires us to temporarily pause a portion of our operations beginning at midnight on Friday, November 20th for a period of 4 weeks to slow the spread of COVID-19. While this order does impact our fitness operations, gyms, and pools, it does not impact our mission critical programs and virtual options. It is through many of these areas that we are able to offer the services that meet our members and neighbors at the heart of where they need us most. As you already know, the Y is so much more than just a gym. The YMCA at ACRC will continue to support our community and members through the following: Early Education and Childcare: The YMCA is the nation’s largest and most trusted provider of early childhood education, after school programming and now Distance Learning Childcare. We are continuing to provide these services to ensure that the children in our community can continue to learn, and engage, in a healthy and safe place so that parents can go to work each day with peace of mind. Motion Vibe Virtual Fitness Programs: As part of our new fitness app, MotionVibe, we have the capability to offer our members high quality, live, and on demand fitness classes. As a Y member you will have access to your favorite Y instructors along with a team of fitness professionals and workouts that will help keep you moving at home. These classes are suitable for all ages and ability levels. Legends 65+: Like many of our members, our senior community has come to rely on the YMCA for their social, physical, and mental health needs. In some cases, this is their only outlet. Our Healthy Aging Coordinator is working on ways to continue these connections and essential programs. Please stay tuned for more information. These are just a few of the things we are doing to support our members and community. Over the coming weeks we will continue to develop ways to keep you engaged, active, and healthy. You are not alone. We are still here, and we are all in this together! |
We hope that everyone will continue to stay with us as you did last spring, but we understand that for some, that may not possible. We have the following options for your membership status: Active Member – as an active member your dues will be drafted 12/1, you will have access to our virtual platform on Motion Vibe and you will know that you are continuing to support your Y community. On Hold – You may put your membership on hold for the duration of the Executive Order. If you complete this form prior to December 1st, your dues will not be deducted until we reopen. If you would like to connect with someone directly regarding your membership, or you have other questions, please call 507-433-1804 ext. 100, leave a detailed message and someone will return your call as quickly as possible. You can also send us an email if that is easier for you. As always, please continue to check our website, social media, and your email for the most current information. There is nothing we appreciate more, than a building full of members working out, shooting hoops, playing pickle ball, swimming laps, or just connecting. There are so many reasons to love the Y and make it a part of your life. We will miss you over the next few weeks but will be ready to open again as soon as we are able. We have done this before, and we’ll be back better than ever. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenging and ever-evolving times. We wish you and your families all the best in health through the next few weeks, and we look forward to seeing you again very soon. With gratitude, Diane Baker CEO YMCA at ACRC |
