Welcome & Our Mission

Welcome & Our Mission

Welcome

Welcome and thank you for making the Y a part of your life. Our Y is blessed to have an incredibly skilled and compassionate staff and board of directors who work every day at making your Y an important and enriching part of your day. With your membership, you are a member of a movement and a place where families come together to spend quality time with each other, adults connect with friends, pursue interests and learn how to life healthier and communities thrive because neighbors support each other and give back.

We encourage all of our members to actively use all of the great programs and amenities the Y has to offer. Whether you want to participate in our free group exercise classes, walk on our track, swim laps or play a game of pick-up basketball, we truly have something for everyone.

Our Y is particularly sensitive to the financial difficulties so many are facing and we believe that no one should be turned away due to their inability to pay. Because of this, we have a wonderful financial assistance program that can help with not only monthly membership dues, but youth program fees and child care.

Again, thank you for joining our Y community. We hope that we fulfill our mission to you which is to build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Sincerely,

Diane Baker

Our Cause Defines Us

We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

Our Strength is in Community

-The Y is a nonprofit like no other. That’s because in 10,000 neighborhoods across the nation, we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise, but deliver, positive change.
-The Y is community centered. For nearly 160 years, we’ve been listening and responding to our communities.
-The Y brings people together. We connect people of all ages and backgrounds to bridge the gaps in community needs.
-The Y nurtures potential. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
-The Y has local presence and global reach. We mobilize local communities to effect lasting, meaningful change.

Our Impact is Felt Every Day

With a mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all, our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child and when a community comes together for the common good.
