Emergency Child Care

Updates as of March 20, 2020

Governor Tim Walz today announced that Minnesota will partner with the YMCA’s to care for the school-age children of emergency workers in Minnesota. The YMCA at ACRC is ready to meet this need in our community.

We are offering child care to Essential Emergency Workers and working to assess the additional need for non-essential Child Care. If you are in need of Child Care, please fill out this form, we will screen the information collected and prioritize the Care to our Essential Emergency Workers first. Please be mindful that if we have the need for more child care, we will do our best to accommodate.

This first round of child care will be capped at 18 due to staffing and social distance practices. If we find the need for child care is greater, we will reassess and look to add additional capacity.

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:30a – 5:00p
  • $40/day per child
  • Each child must provide their own snack and lunch, daily*
  • Staff will meet all children and check temperature before being allowed in the facility
  • Financial Assistance will be available to those in need

*Once the need is established, we have the ability to have lunches delivered, onsite!
